AgentKit is an additional integration interface built on top of the existing Yield.xyz APIs. AI agents that use it rely on the same protocol integrations, transaction construction and data that Earn, Trade and Borrow already provide, through the tools AgentKit currently exposes. Transactions come back unsigned, for your own wallet and policy controls to approve and sign. Every yield, market and loan uses the same schema and a small set of actions, and each action lists the inputs it accepts, so an agent can work across every supported network, protocol and venue with one set of calls. You decide which products and yields are enabled, inputs are validated before a transaction is built, and Shield can check each transaction against its expected pattern. To connect an agent you already have, use AgentKit. If you don’t have an agent of your own, embed Plutus. Any MCP client can also connect to the MCP server directly.

How the pieces fit together

  • The MCP server at https://mcp.yield.xyz/mcp is the shared layer. Every agent product calls its 22 tools for discovery, diligence, transaction building and position tracking. It can be tried without an API key and supports pay-per-call through x402.
  • AgentKit packages MCP access with skills, the instructions that tell an agent which tools to call, in what order, and under which guardrails.
  • Plutus is built on AgentKit and adds the full end-user experience: portfolio context, recommendations, policy controls, and position monitoring.
