About

Venus is a leading decentralized lending and borrowing protocol on BNB Chain, designed to provide efficient access to DeFi yield through two complementary products: the Venus Core Pools and the Venus Flux Vaults. Together, they allow users and integrators to access both dynamic lending yields and simplified vault-based savings products within a unified ecosystem.

Venus Core Pools

Venus Core Pools are the protocol's native lending markets, supporting a broad range of assets on BNB Chain. Users can supply any supported token and earn yield through the interest paid by borrowers. Upon lending, users receive a v-prefixed receipt token (e.g. vUSDC, vBTC) whose value accrues over time via the pricePerShare parameter. This token is redeemable for the underlying asset at any time.

Venus Flux

Venus Flux Vaults are ERC-4626-standardized yield vaults built on top of Venus. These vaults leverage the Fluid liquidity layer to optimize deposit allocation across Venus lending markets. Users receive an f-prefixed receipt token (e.g. fUSDC, fWBNB) representing their vault share. Rewards accrue automatically to the vault share value.

Pending Actions

Claim rewards

The base yield accrues directly to the receipt token via pricePerShare parameter increase. However, if a core pool is incentivized with other tokens, users will be able to claim those token rewards using the CLAIM_REWARDS pending action on the rewards balance.
