About

Liquid vaults are automated DeFi strategies that give ether.fi users an easy access point to put their tokens to work across the DeFi ecosystem. Users deposit their assets and the vault allocates them across a variety of DeFi positions to maximize returns. In addition to the base yield, depositors may also accrue extra points from the underlying protocols.

Our Liquid integration lets users deposit into the ether.fi Liquid ETH vault, which is built on the Veda BoringVault stack. Users deposit eETH and receive liquidETH, an ERC-20 vault share token; rewards accrue automatically via the pricePerShare parameter, so the position compounds in place with no separate reward token to claim. Because the share price is greater than 1, the number of liquidETH shares minted is smaller than the amount of eETH deposited — this is expected and does not represent a loss.

liquidETH is redeemable for the underlying eETH, but withdrawals are not instant: exiting is submitted as an on-chain request to the vault's withdrawal queue and, after a ~3-day cooldown, ether.fi's off-chain solvers settle the request and return eETH automatically. No separate user-signed claim transaction is required.

Pending Actions

None.

Withdrawals do not require a separate user-signed claim step. Once a withdrawal request matures, ether.fi's solvers settle it and the eETH is returned automatically. The in-progress request can be tracked as an unstaking balance via our /stake/balances endpoint until settlement completes.

Considerations

  • Two-step exit with cooldown: Exiting is not instant. Withdrawals are submitted as an on-chain request to the withdrawal queue and become claimable only after the maturity/cooldown window (~3 days). While pending, the user's liquidETH shares are escrowed in the queue, so the visible share balance decreases.
  • Solver-based settlement: Final eETH settlement is performed by ether.fi's off-chain solvers rather than a user transaction. Requests carry an on-chain deadline (10 days) after which they can expire; cancellation of an expired request is not yet supported through the API.
  • Deposit slippage protection: Deposits enforce a minimum-mint check (0.5% slippage tolerance) against the vault's exchange rate.
  • Transfer restrictions: The vault enforces allow/deny lists on both deposit and withdrawal. Addresses that are denied from sending, receiving, or operating on shares will be rejected.
