# Tezos staking

> Delegate your entire XTZ balance to a baker with no unbonding period and auto-compounded rewards.

Delegate XTZ to a Tezos baker through the Earn API. Tezos staking delegates the account's full available balance in one action; there is no unbonding period.

## Yields

| Yield ID | Staking type | Provider | Validator selection |
| - | - | - | - |
| `tezos-xtz-native-staking` | Native | Baker you choose | Required (`validatorAddress`) |

## Key facts

| | |
| - | - |
| Network ID | `tezos` |
| Staked token | XTZ |
| Unbonding | None |
| Warmup | None |
| Minimum | Full-balance delegation only (`amount` uses the -1/-1 full-balance convention) |
| Rewards | Auto-compounded, updated every block |

## Enter and exit

Enter takes `amount` (fixed to the full-balance convention) and requires `additionalAddresses.tezosPubKey`; a reveal operation runs first if the address has not yet published its public key on chain, then the whole available balance delegates to the baker in `validatorAddress`. Exit removes the existing delegation and takes no arguments beyond the account address and `tezosPubKey`.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Enter also requires `validatorAddress`, the baker you delegate to. The enter argument schema returned by the API doesn't currently list it, but the request fails without it.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Entering fails if the address is already delegated; exiting fails if it is not currently delegated.

## List the live yields

Copy this request to list the staking yields on this network that are enabled for your project. Yield IDs change as markets and networks are added, so query the API rather than hardcoding them.
