# Polkadot validator staking

> Nominate up to 16 Polkadot validators directly, with a 2-day unbonding period and auto-compounded rewards.

Nominate Polkadot validators directly with `polkadot-dot-validator-staking`. You choose which validators to back; rewards compound automatically each era.

## Yields

| Yield ID | Staking type | Provider | Validator selection |
| - | - | - | - |
| `polkadot-dot-validator-staking` | Native | Yield.xyz | Required |

## Key facts

| | |
| - | - |
| Network ID | `polkadot` |
| Staked token | DOT |
| Unbonding | 2 days |
| Warmup | None |
| Minimum | Resolved on-chain per network at request time |
| Rewards | Auto-compounded each era |

## Enter and exit

Enter takes `amount` and a required `validatorAddresses` array, up to 16 validators. Exit takes `amount` and the same `validatorAddresses`; it unbonds the nominated amount, and after the 2-day unbonding period the balance is claimed with a pending action.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Exits are subject to a 2-day unbonding period before withdrawal is available.

## List the live yields

Copy this request to list the staking yields on this network that are enabled for your project. Yield IDs change as markets and networks are added, so query the API rather than hardcoding them.
