# Polkadot pool staking

> Join a Polkadot nomination pool with a single pool ID, with a 2-day unbonding period and manually claimed rewards.

Join a Polkadot nomination pool with `polkadot-dot-pool-staking`. A nomination pool lets a smaller stake share in a pool's aggregate nominations instead of nominating validators directly.

## Yields

| Yield ID | Staking type | Provider | Validator selection |
| - | - | - | - |
| `polkadot-dot-pool-staking` | Pooled | Yield.xyz | Required |

## Key facts

| | |
| - | - |
| Network ID | `polkadot` |
| Staked token | DOT |
| Unbonding | 2 days |
| Warmup | None |
| Minimum | 1 DOT |
| Rewards | Claimed manually with a pending action; accrue per era |

## Enter and exit

Enter takes `amount` and a required `validatorAddress`, the pool's identifier. Exit takes the same arguments; it unbonds the pooled amount, and after the 2-day unbonding period the balance is claimed with a pending action.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Exits are subject to a 2-day unbonding period before withdrawal is available.

## List the live yields

Copy this request to list the staking yields on this network that are enabled for your project. Yield IDs change as markets and networks are added, so query the API rather than hardcoding them.
