# Idle Finance

> Deposit DAI, USDC, or stETH into Idle Finance's tranched vaults on Ethereum and choose a senior or junior risk profile.

The Idle Finance integration deposits assets into tranched vaults that allocate capital across DeFi protocols. Each vault splits its yield into two risk tranches, so you choose between steadier returns and higher upside on the same underlying strategy.

## Availability

| Deposit token | Tranches |
| - | - |
| DAI | Senior (`AA`), Junior (`BB`), Portofino Technologies strategy |
| USDC | Senior (`AA`), Junior (`BB`), Portofino Technologies strategy |
| stETH | Junior (`BB`) only, Instadapp strategy |

Idle Finance vaults are live on Ethereum only. Query [`GET /v1/yields?providers=idle-finance`](/api-reference/YieldsController_getYields) for the vaults enabled for your project.

## Senior and junior tranches

* **Senior tranche** (share token prefixed `AA`) receives most of the underlying yield when junior liquidity is low, or a guaranteed minimum portion of it when junior liquidity is high. Junior deposits absorb losses first, protecting senior capital.
* **Junior tranche** (share token prefixed `BB`) receives the outperforming yield regardless of senior liquidity, in exchange for the added risk.

## Entering and exiting

Entering approves the input token (if needed) and deposits it into the chosen tranche; you receive that tranche's share token and yield accrues to it automatically. Exiting redeems the tranche token for the underlying asset plus accrued yield in a single instant transaction.

## Rewards and position

Yield accrues automatically into the tranche token's value; there is no separate incentive token and no manual claim step.

## List the live yields

Copy this request to list the Idle Finance yields enabled for your project. Yield IDs change as markets and networks are added, so query the API rather than hardcoding them.

```bash theme={null}
curl "https://api.yield.xyz/v1/yields?providers=idle-finance&limit=100" \
  -H "x-api-key: $YIELD_API_KEY"
```
